Sophie Coe

Sophie studied fine art and architecture, and enjoyed a very successful career as an architect in the UK, Asia and Australia. However, fine art has always been her real passion, and it has become her full-time occupation. She is inspired by nature and uses charcoal, paint and printmaking techniques. We have, in particular, been awestruck by her ability with charcoal, and have never seen better charcoal original work. She has work in important collections all over the world, and was selected for the 2023 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Although she does not live in Shetland, she has immediate family here, visits often and is "inspired by Burra", where her family live.
