Aurore Whitworth

Aurore is French, and settled in Shetland in 2011. Although now living in the Highlands, she still returns to Shetland regularly. She was captivated by photographs of wrapped stones, using a little known Japanese technique of wrapping beach pebbles in rattan and other natural materials.

They are called “serenity stones”, which perfectly captures the feeling that they inspire. You will be glad to know that she uses Scottish stones, rather than Shetland stones, so is not destroying our Geopark.
